# Run a sprint meeting

> Take standup, retrospective or catchup notes, record and transcribe the meeting, and email the notes to the team.

Every sprint has a place for the notes of its meetings: the daily standup, the retrospective at the end and a weekly catchup. Take the notes together during the meeting, or record it and let OKiDO turn the recording into a meeting report. When the meeting is over, send the notes to the whole team.

## Open the meeting notes

1. Choose **Sprints** in the sidebar.
2. Choose the project or team at the top right, then the sprint. See [Follow and close a sprint](https://okido.io/en/docs/planning/follow-and-close-a-sprint.md).
3. The meeting notes open on the right. Choose the title of the notes to switch between **Daily Standup**, **Sprint Retrospective** and **Weekly Catchup**.

Next to the title is the planned length of the meeting. Type your notes in the editor: mention someone with @ and link a task or document with #. Notes are saved automatically every minute; choose **Save now** to save them right away. Everyone who opens the same sprint sees the same notes.

The button with the panel icon at the top right hides the notes and shows them again.

## Record and transcribe the meeting

1. Choose **Record** above the notes.
2. Choose the language of the meeting, or leave **Auto-detect**.
3. Choose **Record** and allow your browser to use the microphone.

4. When the meeting is over, choose **Stop**.

OKiDO transcribes the recording and adds a meeting report to the notes, under **Meeting report**. Check it and change what you need.

While you record, the notes are read-only for everyone else. When the meeting runs longer than planned, you hear a short beep.

## Send the notes to the team

1. Choose **Finalize & Email to Team** below the notes.
![The finalized standup notes, sent to the project's members](https://okido.io/docs/screenshots/en/meeting-finalize.webp)

OKiDO emails the notes to the members of the project or team. The notes are now **Finalized (read-only)**. To change them later, choose **Edit**, then **Re-finalize & Email to Team** to send the new version.
